Description of the place
The Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University is one of the most important Islamic historical monuments that distinguishes the city of Fez, and even Morocco in general. Manuscripts were translated and written with gold water, and around this library, a mosque was built, the largest of its kind in the city, including an outer courtyard with mosaic floors and walls inscribed with verses from the Holy Qur’an.
