The Statue of the Mother of the Georgians, which is also called "Mother of Kartli", is a monument located in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, and has been located on the top of Sololaki Hill since 1958, the year in which Tbilisi celebrated its 1500th anniversary of its founding, when the prominent Georgian sculptor Elgoga Amashokili ( Elguja Amashukeli) designed a twenty-meter tall aluminum figure of a woman in Georgian national dress, which symbolizes the Georgian national character.
