Museum and Gallery of Podgorica

The museum was established in 1950 as a collection center, and since 1961 it has been operating as a homeland museum. By merging with the Modern Arts Gallery and the Risto Stijović Gallery, this institution has been known since 1974 as Podgorica Museums and Galleries. The museum includes an archaeological and historical treasure, as it contains valuable items that talk about the historical civilization of Podgorica, and also talk about its cultural achievements, values and traditions, which gives you the impression that you are living in two different times at the same time.
