The Museum of Industrial Culture is located in an ancient building (a former coal mine) with assets dating back to 1000 years ago, and it is dedicated to documenting the industrial history of Lower Saxony since the nineteenth century AD and the beginnings of mining and industrialization in the region. This museum consists of several permanent and temporary sections that embrace many Exhibits such as steam engines, ancient excavations, and other artifacts that show how Osnabrück transformed from an agricultural city into a vital industrial and economic city; In addition, there is a glass elevator that descends to a distance of 30 meters and leads to a ground tunnel with a length of 300 meters.
