Description of the place
The Musical Well on Margaret Island is a replica of the first of its kind in the world, built by Hungarian instrument maker and mechanical engineer Péter Bodor for the Transylvanian city of Marosvasarli (Targu Mures in Romania) between 1820 and 1822. The well consists of a circular floor plan with two staircases. Arched sides and a domed roof with a statue of Neptune (Apollo) on top.
