Description of the place
The Śzinje Chain Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Danube River between Buda and Pest - on the western and eastern sides of Budapest - in Hungary. Designed by English engineer William Tierney Clark, it was built by Scottish engineer Adam Clark; Opened across the Danube River in 1849, the Chain Bridge is considered one of the modern engineering wonders of the world. It has become a symbol of progress, national awakening, and the connection between East and West. You can visit it in order to witness the history that this ancient bridge tells.
