Niederwald Monument
This monument was established in the years between 1871 AD and 1883 AD to celebrate the anniversary of the unification of Germany. It is a very huge monument and contains statues of angels with wings and creatures from the Bible, and the meaning behind these statues was that peace came between the two parties to the conflict by a divine miracle. The monument is located on a high mountain and is surrounded on all sides by vast green spaces, from which majestic panoramic views of the Rhine and the eastern and western parts of the city can be obtained.
