Established in 1834, this museum is one of the most important museums in Greece with one of the largest collections of ancient and modern coins in the world. The museum is housed in a magnificent neoclassical mansion with a magnificent facade built in 1880. The museum's impressive collection consists of half a million items, including coins, treasures, Byzantine seals, medals, and precious stones.
