The Ottoman baths of Methymna on Lesbos are the most important landmark that dates back to the period of Ottoman rule on the island, as they were previously linked to the daily life of the inhabitants of the Ottoman Empire, and were used by men and women on different days during the week. These baths continued to operate until about the mid-1990s, then they were restored and became a museum belonging to the municipality and open to local and foreign visitors wishing to learn about this Ottoman landmark.
