Old Government House
The Old Government House was the center of colonial life in the early days of Brisbane, which was built between 1860 AD and 1862 AD, immediately after the separation of Queensland from New South Wales, and at that time this house was used as a private residence and official state office, and continued to be the home of Queensland rulers until 1910 AD . The residence featured distinctive architecture featuring inner and outer courtyards, muqarnas and ornate walls. Today, having been recognized as one of the most important heritage sites in Queensland, the building has undergone restoration work and is now open to the public as a house museum during which visitors can learn about colonial life in the early days of Queensland.
