Palgongsan

Mount Gongsan is located 20 minutes from the city of Daegu, and the mountain is considered one of the most important landmarks in the city for its richness in natural and archaeological sites. Among the landmarks, visitors will find Buddhist shrines, a large and active temple of God Dongwasa, and the Grotto of Gonoye Triad Budda. The mountain also witnessed several important historical events, including The battle of Mount Gong between the Chinese and Korean forces in the year 927 AD. On the mountain, visitors will also find dozens of apple farms in which Daegu is famous, and cable cars from which majestic views of the mountain and its surroundings can be obtained.
