This hill is a wonderful green area in the southwest of the Acropolis, a favorite promenade of the Athenians. You can enjoy great views of the Acropolis, the entire city of Athens and the Aegean Sea surrounding Attica. You can also see the monument dedicated to the Roman prince of Commagene Gaius Julius Antichus Philopappos on top of the hill named after him. You will also find a scientific institute for the study of astronomy and seismology, as well as the Church of Egina Marina.
