Porta San Giovanni
One of the most important historical gates of San Gimignano, its construction was completed in 1262. The gate takes an arched shape made of small paved bricks, and the gate rests on a group of columns distinguished by its ornate base. It is worth noting that the gate leads to the famous Montemago Martyrs' Square in the city, and it is surrounded by a group of prominent monuments in the city from historical buildings, churches and memorials, in addition to green spaces, natural farms and open commercial markets.
