Portugal dos Pequenitos

The name Portugal dos Pequinitos can be translated as "the Portugal of the little ones", as it is a microcosm of Portugal, especially attracting young visitors. It was founded by Professor Bissaya Barreto; A local doctor and medical school lecturer, he intended the garden to be "a vivid picture of what it meant to be a Portuguese presence around the world", and the result is both entertaining and educational with a range of miniature versions of Portugal's finest national buildings and traditional provincial villages.
