Art Museum, located on Brisbane's South Bank, is part of the Queensland Cultural Centre, and complements the Gallery of Modern Art, which is 150 meters away. Founded in 1895 as the Queensland National Gallery of Art, it did not settle into a permanent building until 1982, when it settled in the Queensland Cultural Centre, designed by architect Robin Gibson. This distinguished gallery is home to 17,000 international, Australian and Asian artworks, which includes paintings, sculptures, statues, and other wonderful artworks.
