The bastion of Ravelin, sometimes known as the "White Tower", was built as part of the city's defensive fortifications, to protect it from foreign invasions, but was breached by the Ottomans; Today, it is considered a favorite historical shrine for many people, as it enjoys its grand entrance, military fortifications, towers, and old rooms that exude a rich history.
