Ribat Sidi Dhouib

The Ribat of Sidi Dhouib is located in the city of Monastir, between the mosques of Bourguiba and Sidon, near the 7th of November Square. Its origins date back to the ninth century when it was operating as a military base. It is one of the most important tourist attractions in the city, although it was not as large or famous as the Ribat of Monastir. It has a strong, majestic, and devoid of ornamentation, rectangular structure with thick stone walls and a series of semicircular towers.
