Romanian Pond

This wonderful Roman pond is located within the lands of the village of Battir, which is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is an ancient pond from the Roman period that was established to supply water to the neighboring areas throughout the year. The pond collects rainwater throughout the winter and then pumps it in the summer. There is also a small waterfall in the pond that naturally pumps water into and out of the pond. There are also several wonderful Roman landmarks near the pond that should not be missed.
