Royal Palace of Gödöllő
Located just 30 kilometers northeast of Budapest, Gudulu Royal Palace is the Hungarian equivalent of the Palace of Versailles. This palace - which is the second largest Baroque castle in the world - was built at the beginning of the eighteenth century, and in 1867 it was bought by the king during the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It became the favorite summer residence of the royal family, especially Queen Elizabeth, who loved to spend her time there. It is worth noting that the palace is shaped like a double U and is surrounded by a huge garden.
