Royal Palace
The traditional palace of independent Belgium now houses the king's office, the residence of the crown prince, and a small museum containing artifacts from the Belgian royal dynasty. The palace overlooks the Parliament building, so if you see the national flag flying outside the palace, you will know that the King is in town. During the summer, visitors can tour the building for free, and see the magnificent Throne Room, which features a wooden mosaic floor, and the beautiful Music Room, which contains an ebony wood piano with brass and precious stones. The beauty here is seen by the eye and heard by the ear.
