Saint Nicholas Cathedral
Consecrated in honor of St. Nicholas in 1897, this Greek-Catholic church near Nyirghaza Town Hall is built in mixed Byzantine style, and is notable for its painted glass windows depicting Christ, and its ethereal and almost entirely decorated altar. In 1991, Pope Saint John Paul II visited the Archbishop's Palace, which was built opposite the church in 1909 and attached to it in an Art Nouveau style.
