Description of the place
Salto do Cavallo is considered one of the best observation platforms in the north-east of the Azores, it is located in the village of Salga, from which you can enjoy an amazing view of the Furnas Valley and the north and south coast of São Miguel Island, and around the platform you can see some picturesque laurisilva plants, and in the summer and winter months It is also possible to find the unique Priollo plant.
