Salzburg Cemetery Petersfriedhof

St. Peter's Tomb is located at the stone wall that merges into the bed of the rock called Mönchsberg, in Salzburg, Austria. It is a beautiful place and is considered one of the oldest monuments in the city, as well as one of the oldest cemeteries in Salzburg. Many aristocratic families are buried there along with many other famous personalities, including Nannerl Mozart, sister of the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus. When you visit the place, you can see the Roman Church of the Holy Cross, and St. Margaret's Church, which dates back to the fifteenth century. You can also take a self-guided tour through the early Christian catacombs in the rock above the church cemetery. The cemetery and its churches are rich in amazing history.
