Sanctuary of Santa Quiteria

The Sanctuary of Santa Quitéria was built on the burial site of the martyr Santa Quitéria. It is a small church dating back to the nineteenth century, and its altar is an outstanding example of gold carvings from the end of the seventeenth century. The memorial on the grounds of the temple in 1906, designed by the painter Abel Cardoso and the work of the artist and sculptor José Coelho Vidal.
