Santa Maria Church

St. Mary's Catholic Church is located in the city of Trabzon and was built by order of Sultan Abdul Mesit between 1869 AD and 1874 AD in order to serve foreign citizens, and today it is still used by citizens and foreign visitors to pray. It consists of 3 naves covered with vaults and is surrounded by high walls to provide protection. It has been subjected to some attacks in the past. Tourists from all over the world can visit it, wear appropriate clothes and go visit it with your family or friends, as it is a place that suggests tolerance between religions and respect for differences between people.
