Site of Witness and Memory

The Monument of Martyrdom and Remembrance is a historical monument dedicated to commemorating the heroes of the Albanian people, who were captured and tortured in the prisons of the communist regime. The monument was erected inside one of those new prisons, which were created in that period and were designated for investigation. There is a cell in the basement of the building. Torture, and tools that used to cause unbearable physical pain to prisoners, visitors can take tours and explore the history of this place.
