St. John's Cathedral
St. John's Cathedral is the main church of the Church of Cyprus, located in Nicosia. The church was built in the fourteenth century on the site of the monastery of St. John the Theologian. The church was distinguished by a contemporary and distinctive design, and perhaps one of the things that earned the church this wide fame is the wooden engravings that were hand-carved by local artists, and today these inscriptions are among the oldest in the city.
