The Swiss Alpine Museum is a museum whose purpose is to educate visitors about the culture of the people of the Swiss Alps. The museum was founded in 1905 by Bernese residents who were members of the Alpine Club. The museum moved to its current location on Helvetiaplatz in 1933. The current building was designed by architects Klauser and Street, and restored in the years between 1990 and 1993.
