Description of the place
The collection of the Symi Maritime Museum includes a large number of old maps, models of ships of various sizes, marine navigation tools, fishing equipment, and supplies for sailors and fishermen such as clothes, hats, and others. The museum is trying to maintain the image of Symi Island as one of the best shipbuilding places in Greece, where shipbuilding was flourishing for long periods of its history.
