Szent Istvan Cave

The protected St. Stephen's Cave is located in the Buk National Park, 3.5 km from the city of Miskolc. The total length of the cave and its alleys is 1043 meters, and the height is about 94 meters. It was mentioned for the first time by Ottokár Kadić, who descended into the cave with a rope in 1913. And in 1931 the cave was opened to visitors. The cave is also rich in stone formations and sediments, and includes the largest sandstone formations, called the "frozen waterfall", with a height of about 20 meters and a width of 15 meters.
