The Old Treasury Building

The Old Treasury House, located on Spring Street in Melbourne, was once home to the Victorian Government's Treasury and is now a museum of Melbourne history, known as the Old Treasury House Museum. Built in 1858-1862, the Old Treasury House is considered one of the most imposing buildings of the Australian Revival, with its design inspired by the Palazzo style of architecture, popular in the 19th century. As for the inside, you can see the gold safes that were used to store gold bullion, in addition to valuable documents, highlighting the most important moments in the history of Victoria.
