The Tirumalai Nayakkar Palace dates back to the seventeenth century, and it is one of the archaeological architectural evidence that remains standing and testifying to the history of the Indian city of Madurai, which was built as a home for the king by one of the most skilled architects, near the famous Meenakshi Amman Temple. The palace abounds with magnificent majestic architectural formations that were inspired by the arts of Islamic architecture, which are evident in the domes, arches, and geometric decorations. The palace includes a historical engineering museum, to which tourists come from all over the world.
