The Assumption Church is also known as the University Church because it belonged to the former Faculty of Theology at Pest University and later to the Catholic University of Peter Pazmani. The church was founded by the Boleyn community in 1723 on a site that was originally a mosque. After the dissolution of the Pauline regime in 1786, the church became the property of the University of Pest; The church is distinguished by the presence of two towers, each of which reaches a height of 56 meters.
