West Street Mosque

West Street Mosque, and it was built by the first Muslim settlers in 1885, to serve Muslim immigrants coming from the neighboring regions of India. For worship, especially on Fridays, Ramadan or two days of Eid, it caters to Muslim devotees from almost every country in Africa who join in prayer on the mosque carpets, their shoes outside, as visitors will appreciate the design and architecture of this mosque, which is an oasis in the middle of the bustling city of Durban.
