Vorarlberg Museum
The Vorarlberg Museum is located on the north side of the Kornmarktplatz in Lower Bregenz. The museum was established in 1857 to preserve the rich cultural heritage of the region. Highlights of many of the shows include collections of historical, cultural and artistic interest from prehistoric times to the present day, including ancient stone memorials and archaeological finds from the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages. Other displays are dedicated to local culture from the Gothic and Renaissance eras, including This includes musical instruments, costumes, handicrafts and weapons. The museum is home to a rich collection of goldsmith's work, coins and textiles.
