Name of the place
Wat Phu Khao Noi
Wat Phu Khao Noi
Wat Phu Kao Noi means "small mountain temple". The temple offers peace and serenity within an alluring Buddhist sanctuary with lots of interesting details of designs not seen anywhere else on this island, which makes it a wonderful place for meditation and various Buddhist ceremonies. It's nice to just sit and think, or walk around the Buddha image in the white temple of the Yobuzot (the holiest prayer room), which was founded during the reign of Rattanakosin. The temple was registered by the Department of Fine Arts under the name of a historical site in September 1997. The place contains many small temples, including octagonal, bell-shaped, temples built at stepped angles, or castle-style temples and Burmese chedi.
