Description of the place
Windmills in Kinderdijk is a group consisting of 19 huge windmills, built between 1738-1740, as it is classified as the largest gathering of old windmills in the Netherlands in addition to being one of the most famous tourist sites in it, and it has been listed as national monuments in 1993 The entire area was also considered a protected village, while it was classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. Tourists can go to the area to see the huge mills and learn about their history.
