The island of Great Jamour or Zumbra, which was classified by UNESCO in 1977 AD as a protected area, is considered one of the vital attractions that many locals and tourists alike come to. It is a natural area extending over an area of 369 hectares and a rock formation with a height of 432 meters. It was in the past a natural fortress dedicated to the Tunisian army with an old port (currently destroyed), and it also enjoys an amazing vegetation cover consisting of more than 266 species distributed throughout it.
