Agia Solomoni Catacomb
The catacombs were built in Agia Solomoni during the Hellenistic period, and it was known in ancient times as the "Chapel of the Seven Sleepers" or "The Seven Maccabees". It consists of an open courtyard surrounded by five rock-cut rooms, and contains the remains of Christian wall paintings dating back to the twelfth century AD. ; There is also a sacred tree (with healing powers) decorated with drapery above it. It should be noted that Agia Solomoni was one of the first people on the island to reject idolatry and convert to Christianity.
