Chrysoroyiatissa Monastery

Located 40 kilometers northeast of Paphos and sitting on a hillside outside the village of Panaia, Chrysorioatissa Monastery was dedicated in 1152 to Our Lady of the Golden Pomegranate. The monastery has a studio for the restoration of icons and a museum of religious antiquities, and the church itself is very beautiful and has a single aisle with wonderful rococo chandeliers and a very fine collection of frescoes hanging over the three entrances.
