Description of the place
Anafonitria Monastery is located inside a beautiful stone building decorated with rose trees of bright colors. It is a building dating back to the Byzantine period and consists of a tower that was used for defensive purposes and today has become a place for church bells toll on happy and sad occasions. The monastery also has several buildings, stone apses, and gardens full of saplings and flowers that visitors like to take souvenir photos of.
