Archaeological Museum of Mytilene
The collection of the Mytilene Archaeological Museum is distributed in two buildings open to visitors wishing to learn about Greece and its ancient civilization and its effects dating back thousands of years. The old museum building includes a collection of archaeological holdings from the Roman civilization and its predecessors, such as tombstones, marble statues, carvings, coins, jewelry, and tools that were used in daily life. As for the second building, it is specialized in displaying what archaeologists found from the remains of the temple of the god Aphrodite during the ongoing excavations, where tourists can see the mosaic floors and statues.
