Archaeological Site of Amathous
Amathus is one of the oldest cities of Cyprus, which was formed in a distinct place in the city in the year 1100 BC, and the city is closely associated with history and legends. The ruins of the ancient city of Amathus are located on a coastal hill and currently consist of two separate parts, upper and lower, and some ruins that are still undiscovered to this day. Many of the finds that were discovered during the archaeological excavations were transferred to the Cyprus Museum in Nicosia and the Archaeological Museum in the Limassol area Some of the pieces have been sent to the British Museum and the Louvre.
