Omeriye Mosque

The Omari Mosque is located near the main municipal market within the city of Nicosia. Studies and research indicate that the mosque was originally a church belonging to the Augustinian Order, dedicated to Saint Mary. The main entrance door traces back to the original 14th-century building. The mosque was distinguished by its decorations and inscriptions, which reflect a whole history of architectural creativity.
