Bab al-Jabali is one of the gates of the city of Sfax, and it is located in the middle of the northern facade of its walls between Bab Nahj al-Bey and Bab al-Jedid. It provides access to the popular vegetable market and the Sidi Boushacha Mosque inside the city and a covered market outside. This gate is considered one of the oldest gates of the city, as it was built during the reign of the Aghlabid dynasty that ruled Ifriqiya (Near Morocco) for the entire ninth century. , and has the form of a vaulted shed only 10 meters deep, and between its external and internal entrances, the portico was used to serve the residences of the guards.
