Bait Al-Baranda
Bayt al-Baranda, a house dating back to the nineteenth century AD, was built by Muhammad Naseeb, but he did not live in it, and the government bought it from his heirs. After that, many tenants of the place followed until the government turned it into a museum that holds exhibitions and interactive displays of the city of Muttrah, starting from its geological formation, to ancient and marine life, folk art and the achievements that Muscat has achieved at the present time. Also, one of the objectives of the museum is to revive the artistic and cultural circles, so the government began to review many shows, including: The conversion of Omanis to Islam. It performs many activities such as painting, pottery, art, photography and reading. It is a comprehensive artistic, cultural, historical, interactive center for the Omani citizen.
