Cathedral of the Assumption

Roman Catholic cathedral located in the heart of the island of Gozo, and it is one of the oldest churches on the island, as it was established in the year 1864. It was established on the ruins of a Byzantine church that existed since the thirteenth century. It is a beautiful church built in the style of Baroque architecture, as visitors will find wonderful statues and majestic drawings of the most important religious figures throughout history, as well as domes, columns, a gilded altar and many others.
