Description of the place
The Byzantine Angelic Church of Panagia has origins dating back to the sixth century AD and a distinctive architectural design with a carved and ornate dome. It is one of the few churches protected by UNESCO, in addition to that it hosts a group of famous murals, paintings and mosaics of the Virgin Mary and Christ.
