Description of the place
The Qutbawi Rock is a unique rock located at the top of Palongsan Mountain near the city of Daegu in South Korea. A statue of Lord Buddha has been carved in this rock. The height of this huge granite statue is 4 meters. There are many legends associated with this statue, as it is said that it was carved by a Buddhist monk called Uihyun to lead the soul of his deceased mother to heaven. Visitors come to this archaeological site to take pictures and enjoy the beauty of the historical architecture.
