Jeonju Hyanggyo is a school that was established as early as the 15th century and expanded during the Joseon Dynasty in the year 1700. Several shrines were founded in the school, but they were all destroyed during the Japanese occupation. A large number of Korean thinkers who greatly influenced Korean civilization studied at this historical school. The building is characterized by its simple architecture in traditional Korean style.
